Barry Perkins is Principal Trumpet of the Pacific Symphony and a seasoned Hollywood studio musician
Barry has been Principal Trumpet with the Pacific Symphony since 2004 and has played on over 300 motion pictures including the last three STAR WARS movies
The concert opened with the "Prayer of St. Gregory" for trumpet and strings, a brief, meditative work full of religious feeling by Alan Hovhaness (1911-2000). The strings glowed euphoniously and Perkins, the orchestra's principal trumpet player, soared easily and resoundingly. Lovely.

Orange County Register review

“The Pacific Symphony was electrifying… The young principal trumpeter [Barry Perkins] is phenomenal.”
